Clear application
films are prone to static. Static in any film can make handling difficult,
whether the user is laminating the tape
to cut vinyl graphics or performing a vinyl application. RTape’s new AT60n Clear
Choice® application film features a polypropylene backing embossed on one side. The
embossing allows for easier
unwind, minimizing the generation of static charge and the problems it causes.
Lower static reduces problems when laminating the film to the graphic or performing an application. |
The new AT60n application film also features a versatile and forgiving
acrylic adhesive system. The medium tack adhesive is designed for clean
pick up and transfer of a wide variety of cast or calendered vinyl. If the tape
accidentally folds on itself and adhesive touches adhesive, AT60n Clear Choice®
film pulls apart easily, with no adhesive delamination. Better anchorage of the
adhesive to the film facestock, improves the film’s water resistance, when the
tape is used in wet applications.
During the application of multiple color overlays, the exceptional
clarity of the AT60n polypropylene film aids precise registration of
multi-color graphics. The rigid polypropylene facestock minimizes stretching,
which prevents misalignment of graphics during application.
AT60n is also well-suited for making ready-to-apply (RTA) graphics.
Coated with a stable and plasticizer-resistant acrylic adhesive, AT60n will not
build in adhesion when applied to vinyl graphics, nor will the adhesive yellow
or discolor. Following extended periods of storage, removal of AT60n from
applied graphics is never a problem. When shipping rolled RTA graphics the
rigid film facestock lays flat to the exposed release liners of cut vinyl
graphics and resists curling and tunneling.
