RTape Exhibits at ISS in Long Beach, CA

At the Imprinted Sportswear Show (ISS) show in Long Beach, CA on January 18 to 20, 2013, RTape (www.rtape.com) will display its heat transfer films line in booth 2102. The RTape heat transfer line includes 33 polyurethane film colors, 20 flock colors for plotter cutting, along with printable polyurethane and flock films for digital printing. The polyurethane films feature exceptionally thin profiles for a soft hand, outstanding stretchability and excellent durability.

Films for plotter cutting. RTape will feature its FlexCut Sticky product offering. FlexCut Sticky is a PVC free, water-based 100% polyurethane heat transfer film. It features a low tack sticky carrier, which allows plotter cutting of fine detail and easy weeding. It is available in six different versions to satisfy a variety of applications. New to the FlexCut Sticky STD (standard) product line is Athletic Gold. Other versions include:

FlexCut Sticky's low tack carrier allows plotter cutting of fine detail and facilitates easy weeding.
  • FlexCut Sticky LT (low temperature), designed for heat sensitive fabrics;
  • FlexCut Sticky Nylon with a polyamide hot melt adhesive which adheres to nylon and coated fabrics;
  • FlexCut Puff Sweet, which inflates with air creating a 3D effect,  when exposed to the heat of a heat press;
  • FlexCut Sticky SubliBlock (SBB), which is designed for sublimated polyester fabrics (sports jerseys). It includes an exclusive “SubliBlock” layer that prevents dye migration from discoloring heat transfer appliques.
  •
  • FlexCut Sticky GITD (Glow In The Dark), which will glow in the dark after exposure to daylight or artificial light.

For plotter cut graphics, RTape will also display FlexCut Sweet, which approximates the look and feel of screen printing in a heat transfer flex film. Made of 100% polyurethane, FlexCut Sweet is very thin, soft and stretchable. FlexCut Sweet is available in three versions: FlexCut Sweet; FlexCut Sweet Nylon and FlexCut Sweet LT (low temperature).

Printable Polyurethane Heat Transfer Films. If you have a solvent, ecosolvent or latex inkjet printer, you can decorate t-shirts, jackets and jerseys with RTape Tatoo, printable polyurethane heat transfer films. Tatoo is 100% polyurethane, not a vinyl and not a polyurethane-base blend.  Polyurethane is also much thinner, more stretchable and more durable. The product line includes Tatoo and Tatoo Pearl, Tatoo SBB with a sublimation barrier, and Tatoo Nylon with a polyamide hot melt adhesive for nylon and coat fabrics.

The graphic pictured above was printed on a HP Latex printer.

Flock Films for Plotter Cutting. VelCut EVO is a high-quality flock film for plotter cutting with a heat activated adhesive. VelCut flock films are soft as velvet, stretchable and easy to  cut and weed.

Flock Films for Printing. Printabble EcoPrint flock films are a great alternative to flex materials. The  heat applied flock film is compatible with solvent, ecosolvent and latex digital print inks.
To transfer a printed EcoPrint graphic use 485L HotMask™.

HotMask™ Transfer Tapes. To complement the heat transfer products, RTape will also show its HotMask™ polyester transfer tapes, designed protect printed heat transfer material from the high temperatures of heat pressing. New to the line is 485L HotMask™, which utilizes a higher tack silicone adhesive needed to transfer printed flock films.
